I’m wITH THE BAND
This John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, consistently emphasized the importance of spiritual community. Early Methodists regularly met in large gatherings for worship called Societies, and in small groups - called Classes - to further their biblical study and spiritual formation. But Wesley encouraged even deeper connections through Bands - a core group of 3-6 people that fostered incredible trust, accountability, mentorship, and belonging. For this 4-week series, we will be exploring examples of scriptural friendships and foundations of Wesleyan Bands for stronger covenant discipleship today.
